Here’s what we owe you. And what you owe us.

Before you pay, you get a written agreement showing the work, the price, the dates and the area we’ll cover.

I’ll walk you through it. You should understand what you’re buying before you buy it.

You pay for the build upfront.

The build fee is your onboarding. It starts at $2K, paid once, and covers the work listed in your agreement. It’s separate from the retainer for improving and maintaining your ChatGPT ranking.

We’ll email you a clear list of the materials and account access we need before starting. If something is missing, we’ll tell you what it is and help you get it to us.

Once we have those upfront requirements, we have 28 calendar days to finish the build. We confirm your start date and deadline in writing.

If we’re late, it costs us $200 a day.

If we miss that deadline, we automatically refund $200 of your build fee for every calendar day we’re late, up to the full build fee.

The refund is for making you wait. We still owe you the finished work.

You get both.

We earn the retainer every four weeks.

Your free report is the starting number: the 100-Ask test we ran before you paid.

When the build is finished, we run the test again so you can see what the build did. Four weeks later, we repeat the same homeowner questions and compare the results with your free report. If your free report is more than 60 days old on the day you pay, we run it again before the build starts, at no charge, and that becomes the starting number.

The retainer is $500 every four weeks. You pay it for those four weeks if your company appears in more answers than it did in your free report.

You also pay if your company ranks in the top 5 on ChatGPT at the start and end of those four weeks. Both tests cover your agreed area.

If neither happens, you don’t pay our fee for those four weeks.

The fee is charged after the result. We keep working on your ranking each week and repeat the comparison every four weeks.

You get the screenshots behind the results.

The upfront build fee remains separate from this payment promise.

For the top-five payment rule, your company must appear in at least one answer in each of the two tests. A tie that puts more than five companies in the top five does not qualify for the retainer. The improvement rule still applies.

If we can’t complete a valid comparison, you don’t pay for that period. We rerun the test, but there’s no catch-up bill for that missed period.

Our retainer stops after 12 months.

The 12 months start on your build start date. Your agreement shows the exact start and end dates. Our retainer stops automatically on that end date.

Any days left after the last full four-week period are included at no extra charge.

We keep working until your agreed end date.

You don’t have to remember an anniversary with your marketing company.

At the end of the year, we give you an SEO playbook covering the work we’ve been doing. Your team can use it to keep going without us.

If you’re not ready to bring marketing in-house, we can agree on a new year-long engagement. That requires a separate agreement. It does not renew automatically.

Any separate hosting or software costs are explained before you sign up.

Ending our fee doesn’t cancel services you choose to keep with other providers.

You can end the ongoing service at any time.

You may still owe a fee for the current four weeks, but only if we earned it under the rules above. There is no retainer after that period.

You keep the work and control of your accounts.

Your accounts stay yours. So does the work.

Your accounts stay in your name. You keep the pages, videos and other work we build for you, and you can remove our access.

You’ve paid to build something for your business. You shouldn’t have to keep us employed to keep it.

We agree on your area before you pay.

We take one roofing client per agreed area for ongoing service.

Your agreement sets out that area, and your build payment reserves it.

In a smaller market, that can be the whole town.

In a larger city, we agree on the neighborhoods or ZIP codes where we’ll focus.

A free report or a standalone Google Maps Overhaul doesn’t reserve an area.

If yours is already taken, you can still get the report and join the waiting list.

Extra spending needs your okay.

We put the work included in your package in writing.

If we recommend extra work, we explain what it costs before you agree to it.

The same goes for outside costs, such as a local sponsorship.

You approve the spending before we make the arrangements.

The $500 Google Maps Overhaul is a separate job.

You pay $500 once. It doesn’t start a retainer or any recurring fee.

Once we have access to your Google profile, your business details and your job photos, we’ll finish the Overhaul in seven days.

You get the complete before and after, plus a record of what changed and why. You keep control of your Google account.

If our work isn’t finished within seven calendar days, we automatically refund your $500. We still finish the work.

Finished means we’ve done the agreed work, submitted the changes and sent you a record of what’s live and what’s pending. If Google is still reviewing a submitted change, we mark it pending and follow through without charging extra.

The larger build has its own 28-day deadline and $200 daily late-build refund.

Your ranking and your roofing jobs are worth tracking.

Our test shows where you rank on ChatGPT. To see what that brings your business, you also need to track the calls and jobs that come from ChatGPT.

We can install that tracking for you if you need it. We’ll agree on the work and any cost before we start.

Ask before you pay.

If something in the agreement is unclear, ask me any time.
